This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is an
BANK ROBBERY
That was reported to Manchester Police on Saturday January 21, 2012.
On that date at approx. 2 p.m. Manchester Police responded to TD Bank located at 2 South Beech St. for report of a robbery. On arrival officers discovered that a male subject had walked into the bank and demanded money from the teller. Once the teller complied the suspect said “Thank You” and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. It is believed that the suspect ran across S. Willow St. towards Papa Johns pizza. He may have had a vehicle waiting in that area which would be similar to a black Chevy Avalanche style with chrome trim.
The suspect is described as a white male, approx. 6 ft tall in his mid 20’s. He wore jeans, a hooded sweatshirt, and sunglasses.

This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK are
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
Which have been occurring in Manchester over the past several months.
Since September 2011 residential burglaries have been steadily increasing in frequency. These burglaries usually involve suspects entering the home through unsecured windows or doors, and stealing items found inside. Some of the items stolen in these burglaries are electronic items, prescription medication, and gold jewelry. Additionally vacant homes and homes for sale are being targeted for their copper piping, which has also become a target of thieves.
Manchester Police Detectives are looking for information that would be helpful in solving any of these crimes. Residents are also reminded to make sure everyone locks their doors and reports any suspicious neighborhood activity to police.

| 11/14/2011 - Crimeline Crime of Week |
This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is an
ARMED ROBBERY
That was reported to Manchester Police on Saturday October 29, 2011.
On that date at approx. 4:30 p.m. Manchester Police responded to Home Depot on March Ave. for report of a robbery. On arrival officers spoke with an employee at Home Depot who explained that he had seen a male subject conceal several items in his jacket and begin to walk out the store. When confronted, the subject attempted to flee but was detained by the employee. At that time the suspect produced a taser and attempted to use it on the employee. The subject then fled the store in a black Honda Prelude.
The subject is described as a white male, approx. 5-09 with a thin build. He was approx. 25 yoa and wearing a black hat and red sweatshirt.

| 11/4/2011 - Crimeline Crime of Week |
This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is an
ARMED ROBBERY
That was reported to Manchester Police on Saturday October 29, 2011.
On that date Manchester Police responded to TD Bank at 2 South Beech St. for report of a robbery. On arrival officers learned that a male subject had entered the bank and immediately displayed a handgun. The suspect pointed the gun at a customer and forced him to kneel on the ground. The suspect then demanded money from the bank teller and, after she complied, fled the scene in an unknown direction. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white male, approx. 6 ft tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark colored hat and jacket with sunglasses. The handgun he displayed was a black semi-automatic. A surveillance photo can be seen on the Crimeline website.

| 10/25/2011 - Crimeline Crime of Week |
This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is an
ARMED ROBBERY
That was reported to Manchester Police on Monday October 17th, 2011.
On that date at approx. 1:30 p.m. Manchester Police responded to Hannoush Jewelers at 950 S. Willow St. for report of a robbery. On arrival officers learned that two subjects had entered the store with the intent to commit a robbery. Once inside, one of the suspects held the clerk at gunpoint while the other suspect emptied several jewelry cases. During the robbery a customer entered the store and was ordered to lie on the ground. No one was hurt during the incident but several thousands worth of jewels were taken.
The two subjects are both described as black males approx. 5-10 to 6 ft. tall. One of the subjects was approx. 190 lbs. and the other looked to be 250 lbs. The heavier of the two was wearing glasses and a pea coat. One of the males had a nickel plated handgun. They fled on foot in an unknown direction.

| 10/14/2011 - Crimeline Crime of Week |
This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is several
ARSON FIRES
which occurred in Manchester primarily over the Columbus Day weekend.
Between October 8th and the 10th Manchester Police and Fire responded to several arson fires in the inner city area. Most of the fires were referred to as “debris fires” often in found garbage cans or other trash that may be located in alleys or outside of people’s homes. Although the fires were quickly extinguished, there is the potential they could have spread to nearby buildings. Residents are being asked to pickup any loose trash in alleys, and to keep covers on their garbage cans.
There is no suspect information and Police and Fire officials are asking for any potential information regarding these arsons.

| 10/7/2011 - Crimeline Crime of Week |
This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is an
IDENTITY FRAUD
That was originally reported to Manchester Police in June of 2011.
On approximately June 29, 2011 a male subject contacted the Manchester Police Department regarding a stolen credit card. Apparently several charges were made on this card over the next few days at several businesses in Manchester. Manchester Police Detectives were able to obtain surveillance footage of the suspect in this case.
The suspect appears to be a white female, approx. 35-40 years old wearing glasses. She may have red or light brown hair. In several shots she is standing at the counter or leaving the store.

| 9/27/2011 - Crimeline Crime of Week |
This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is an
ARMED ROBBERY
That was reported to Manchester Police on Sunday September 18, 2011.
On that date at approx. 2 a.m. Manchester Police responded to CMC hospital to meet with a 56 year old auto shop worker. The victim was being treated for injuries suffered during a robbery at his auto shop business at 1086 Candia Rd. According to his statements, two men entered the shop around 1:30 a.m. and attacked him demanding money. During the attack one of the assailants struck the victim repeatedly with a handgun. The men stole his wallet and several personal items before fleeing the scene.
The victim describes the suspects as Hispanic males. No further description was given.

| 9/2/2011 - Crimeline Crime of the Week |
This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is an
ARMED ROBBERY
That was reported to Manchester Police on Tuesday August 30, 2011.
On that date at approx. 9:00 p.m. Manchester Police responded to Tony the Tiger Gas located at 41 Webster St. for report of an armed robbery. On arrival officers discovered that the clerk from the gas station had been assaulted and robbed. According to the victim, two male subjects armed with a pistol and steel pipe confront him outside the station and began striking him in the head. The two subjects robbed the clerk and fled the area in an unknown direction.
The two subjects are described as Hispanic males, approx. 5-07 with bandanas covering their faces. They were in their late teens or early twenties.

| 7/22/2011 - Crimeline Crime of the Week |
This week`s CRIMELINE CRIME OF THE WEEK is an
ROBBERY
That was reported to Manchester Police on Tuesday July 12, 2011.
On that date at approx. 3:20 p.m. Manchester Police responded to Stop-n-Shop at 365 Lincoln St. for report of a purse snatching. On arrival police met with an 83 year old woman who stated that a male subject had stolen her purse.
According to the woman, she was entering the store when a male subject approached her from the side and grabbed her purse. The subject then fled on foot towards Lincoln St. with the black leather purse. The woman was not injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approx. 5-08 with a thin build. He was wearing a baseball hat, navy blue shirt, shorts and black sneakers.
